Fire Retardant
Cork is a naturally fire retardant material that will not release incandescent particles nor will it propagate flames. It slows or stops the spread of fire or reduces its intensity and lessens the production of smoke.
Thermal CorkShield™ has a Class A Fire Rating according to ASTM E84-20 and CAN/ULC S102-10. Results: 0% flame spread, 10/450 smoke developed.
Acoustic Insulation
Thermal CorkShield™ will make your home or building quieter, reducing sound penetration from the outside.
Inside, it can reduce echo in any room, home, & business, improving sound quality and clarity.
Flexibility / Elasticity
Our product has elastic properties which means that it can expand and contract depending on the weather. It is flexible and highly resistant to chipping or cracking, in any temperature, due to cork’s capacity to recover it’s initial volume after deformation.
Unlike stucco and cement, hail bounces, impact deflects, and any cracking from fluctuations in weather is virtually eliminated with a 3mm coating of cork applied on the outside.

Thermal CorkShield™ is extremely resistant to harsh conditions, only fading 1% – 2% annually in direct sun, no matter the color you choose! One on the natural properties of cork is it will never reach a freezing point, even after being submerged in liquid nitrogen. No more cracks from season to season!
Mold & Mildew Resistant
Suberin, a naturally occurring fatty acid in cork, stops the growth of organisms in it’s tracks. Laboratory test show 0 (zero) mold or mildew growth on our product.
Salt Protection
Our product allows for minimal salt penetration protecting your home or building from damage and degeneration from minerals.
Hypoallergenic
Thermal CorkShield™ does not shed its fibers, reducing dust build up. It is also non-toxic and non-VOC, even when airborne in application.
Eco friendly
The bark of the cork tree is removed every nine years causing large amounts of oxygen to be released by the tree into the environment. The tree will last for hundreds of years continuing to grow new bark for re-harvest. Thermal CorkShield™ is a green, naturally renewable resource.
Breathable
Thermal CorkShield works just like cork in a wine bottle, it stays breathable but water-resistant at the same time. Cork on your walls works as an effective semi-permeable envelope.

Due to impressive performance, a Limited Product Warranty of 15 years is available on all building applications done by a Certified Applicator and according to the Vipeq F08 TDS.
In 2021 this warranty rose from it’s previous 10 year max as Vipeq Applicators and Engineers have proven it’s longevity and effectiveness.
